Hippo Labs is a small (but growing!) startup based in London, founded in 2021 by Sachin Gupta (CEO) and Ali McMaster (CTO).
We have a deep technical and sector expertise and we're leveraging that to build truly impactful tools that help real Primary Care GP practices improve the care they offer for patients.
Our first flagship product is the Hippo Recaller - a comprehensive proactive care tool that helps practices to identify, invite and care for patients efficiently and effectively. Proactive care prevents people from becoming acutely unwell resulting in improved healthcare outcomes and lower workload burdens on an already struggling NHS.

Our Story
Hippo Labs was started in 2021 by Sachin Gupta and Ali McMaster.
Despite having graduated from the same university and having worked in the same industry, the two didn't meet until Ali reached out to one of the GP Practices that Sachin managed.
Sachin had been working on the idea of improved Proactive Care processes for some time, but the project had reached a dead end without someone more technical to take it to the next level. When Ali contacted Sachin, they saw the potential for their partnership to make a real impact on the practices and patients they worked with.
Sachin and Ali quickly secured contracts with local practices and set their sights on expanding their team and growing their business. Today, Hippo Labs is dedicated to helping practices improve their proactive care processes to help reduce their workload and improve patient outcomes.

"I graduated from Bristol in 2011 and worked for many years as an anaesthetic and intensive doctor until making a switch away and completing a PhD. In my free time, I enjoy fitness such as running (although not as much as Ali) and have represented Great Britain at Ultimate Frisbee."
