We’re really excited to announce the release of our highly anticipated v2.0 update. In this blog post, we'll provide a summary of recent developments both on the product and more generally at Hippo Labs over the last few months.
v2.0 Release Highlights
We are pumped to be releasing v2.0 of the platform. Our team has been hard at work, making significant enhancements and incorporating fantastic features into our platform. This is the culmination of months of work and gets us ready to restart recalls for this financial year.
Here are the key updates in v2.0:
👱♀️ Goldilocks Timing Layer: Introducing the “Goldilocks” recall timing layer - designed to ensure that patients are called in at the optimal time for them, regardless of their “technical” eligibility for a particular target. The aim is to strike the perfect balance - not too early, not too late i.e. the Goldilocks point!
🎯 Readiness for QOF 23/24: The platform has been updated to accommodate the changes in the 2023-24 QOF rules. This includes two new cholesterol indicators and a number of other smaller (but important) tweaks. We’ll be rolling these out gradually over the coming weeks.
🛝 Test/Demo Platform: We now have a fully fledged test / demo environment, offering a simulated live practice experience with completely anonymized data. This enables potential users to explore the capabilities of the Hippo Recaller in a comprehensive test environment.
🔒 Cyber Essential Plus Certification: You may have seen from our website that we’re now Cyber Essentials Plus certified! This certification underscores our focus on ensuring the safety and compliance of our products at all times.
🏢 Infrastructure Upgrades: Our infrastructure has also been majorly upgraded to ensure that we’re ready for new contracts coming up. We’re anticipating about triple the volume of patients to be processed through our platform over the coming weeks and months and a lot of work has been done to ensure we can support this!
These remarkable updates build upon our major releases from the past few months, which include features such as recall filters, campaign functionality, and the new target tracker analytics table. To learn more about these features, please have a read of our blog posts on v1.4, v1.5, v1.6.
If you’re keen to learn more, we’re going to be doing deep dives on some of these features and changes in blog posts over the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
Restarting recalls
After a brief pause to reflect, recharge, and improve, we are excited to announce that we are restarting our recall campaigns for our partner practices. Like most QOF teams, Q1 of the financial year is a good opportunity to take a breather, but now as we move into Q2 - we’re excited to be restarting and we can already see responses coming in!
To learn more about our customisable campaigns, which empowers practices to control their recalls flexible, please have a read of our v1.6 blog post.
Other Hippo Happenings
DigitalHealth.London Accelerator
As mentioned in our last blog update, we were selected for the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator Programme! You can read more about it in our main blog post but suffice to say it was a competitive process and we’re really proud of our whole team for the efforts they put in to get us on to the programme!
The Accelerator will help us learn, grow and establish connections with wider healthcare establishments. DigitalHealth.London’s aim is to speed up the adoption of technology in the NHS and we’re excited to help work with them on that! We’ve already learnt a lot and met a lot of great people, with more exciting meetings and opportunities coming up soon.
New Office
This one happened last month, but we never actually posted about it - we’ve moved office! We used to be based above a partner surgery in Deptford - we had one room, 3 desks and a whiteboard. We’ve now moved all the way across to London Bridge where we’ve got double the number of desks, double the number of whiteboards and more space than you can swing a cat in (although that might enrage the office dogs (pictures to follow)).
If you’re ever nearby to London Bridge station, just drop us an email on hello@hippolabs.co.uk and we’d love to grab a coffee with you or show you our new digs 🛋️.
What’s next?
We’re going to be hard at work over the coming months to keep releasing more exciting updates and working with our partner practices to help bring great proactive care to patients!
If you have any questions, queries, or comments, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at hello@hippolabs.co.uk. We look forward to hearing from you.
Stay tuned for our upcoming deep dives in the following weeks!
